Transitions at CAHC: A message from our Board Chair

To our many friends, partners, and supporters:

It is with sadness that I share that our Executive Director, Emily Brostek, will be leaving Consumers for Affordable Health Care effective November 3.

We are grateful to Emily for her leadership and vision during a time of great change and significant challenges for CAHC and for health care. Despite shifting funding and a hostile political environment, under Emily’s determined leadership CAHC has become a stronger organization, and more committed to our mission than ever.

We wish Emily the greatest success in her future endeavors. You may read her own letter reflecting on this transition here.

CAHC’s board and staff are committed to ensuring a smooth and thoughtful transition for the organization, culminating in a search for a new Executive Director in the coming months. We will share the job announcement soon, and ask for your help identifying candidates who can help CAHC continue to grow and thrive.

We all know that we live in challenging times, but if we continue to work together, we can achieve great things. CAHC has been fighting for quality, affordable health care for everyone in Maine for nearly 30 years, and we will continue to fight alongside all of you on behalf of Maine consumers.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding our Executive Director Search.

Best,
