It
is our deepest belief that the most powerful way to
improve access to and quality of health care in Maine
is to give individual consumers the knowledge and
skills to advocate for themselves and their families
in the halls of power. The Consumer Health Advocacy
Network has been created to put this belief into practice.
 The
Consumer Health Advocacy Network is one
of our most exciting projects. The Consumer Health
Advocacy Network brings health care consumers from
all over Maine together to share information and to
advocate for better health care in Maine.
Participation in the network is FREE and is
available to any Maine resident concerned about health
care access and quality in the state. Once you become
a member, you will recieve action alerts and other
information on issues pertinent to quality of and
access to health care in Maine, as well as updates
on new or existing assistance programs for health
care or coverage.

Signing up is EASY!
Simply write,
call, or email
us with your name, address, phone number,
and email address. Be sure to mention that you would
like to join the Consumer Health Advocacy Network
(or "CHAN.") We will add you to the network and you
will begin receiving regular mailings informing you
of meetings as well as news, press releases, and action
alerts.
2.
Self-Employed or own a Small Business?
Sometimes self-employed and small business people
may be interested in information that we would not
normally circulate to individuals (for instance updates
on Small Business Health Care Relief Laws, Dirigo
Health small business cost and benefit information,
Health Access: Small Business Edition, etc.) If you
are signing up for our mailing list or email list,
please let us know if you are self-employed or own
a small business, so that we can better serve your
needs.
