  It is our deepest belief that the most powerful way to improve access to and quality of health care in Maine is to give individual consumers the knowledge and skills to advocate for themselves and their families in the halls of power. The Consumer Health Advocacy Network has been created to put this belief into practice.  
  The Consumer Health Advocacy Network is one of our newest and most exciting projects. The Consumer Health Advocacy Network brings health care consumers from all over Maine together to share information and to advocate for better health care in Maine.
 
 
Membership in the network is FREE and is available to any Maine resident concerned about health care access and quality in the state. Once you become a member, you will be notified of meetings and workshops around the state. Workshops will be held to teach Network members about the health care crisis in Maine and how to advocate for positive change. As the network grows, regional groups will be established throughout the state which will hold regular meetings to discuss current issues in health care.

Becoming a member is EASY! Simply write, call, or email us with your name, address, phone number, and email address. Be sure to mention that you would like to join the Consumer Health Advocacy Network (or "CHAN.") We will add you to the network and you will begin receiving regular mailings informing you of meetings as well as news, press releases, and action alerts.
