Internships
Consumers for Affordable Health Care sometimes offers
internships to qualified students throughout Maine.
Why intern with CAHC? Here are three reasons:
-
Exposure:
Interns gain exposure to a wide range of health
policy issues as well as the legislative process.
Interns are encouraged to attend CAHC-organized
meetings as well as legislative hearings and work
sessions related to health care.
-
Experience: Interns will have the opportunity
to work in a fast-paced advocacy organization. Responsibilities
could include working with media, assisting in grassroots
organizing campaigns, researching health policy
issues, organizing meetings, and writing letters
and press releases, as well as some office/clerical
work. ·
- College
Credit:
CAHC will work with students who wish to apply their
internship toward academic credit.
How
to Apply
Internships are unpaid and may be available on a part-time
or full time basis. There are no deadlines for submitting
applications. You should contact
us to find out if there are internship
opportunities currently available.
