MaineShare's Fundraising Hike & Bike

On Saturday, September 13, 2003, you are invited to participate in MaineShare's annual fundraising hike and bike at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal. Proceeds will go to support MaineShare, an organization that provides funding through charitable workplace giving to 34 organizations (including Consumers for Affordable Health Care!) working together to build a bright future for the people of Maine and our natural environment.

Bradbury Mountain State Park is located off exit 20, I-95. The event features three bike-touring routes. Choose from either a 25 K, 50 K or 100 K route and bike your way through the surrounding towns of Pownal, Durham, Freeport and Brunswick. Two guided hikes of 3k and 8 K will be offered on the Multiple Use Trails at the park, designated to accommodate hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. In addition, Bradbury Mountain State Park is one of Maine's premier mountain bike facilities. The park has designed trails for all biking abilities, from flat, wide, wood-chipped boulevards to steep challenging climbs to the top of Bradbury Mountain. A guided mountain bike ride will be available for families or those wanting mountain bike riding tips and advice.

Thank you gifts are offered for all levels of fundraising but only those who raise over $1,500 will get a weekend for two in Acadia. Each participant who raises $50 or more will receive a 100% organic cotton Patagonia t-shirt and a gourmet picnic lunch. Additional thank you gifts at higher giving levels are available.

Join us at the mountain for...
