all-day, $40 workshop offers an in-depth look at eligibility
rules for several MaineCare categories, including the
family, senior, non-categorical and people with disabilities
categories. Participants will focus on how to screen
for potential eligibility, how to help clients enroll,
appeal and how to trouble-shoot problems regarding these
categories of MaineCare. Additionally, participants
will have the opportunity to practice screenings, using
eligibility processes and criteria. Time: 9 am - 4 pm.
MaineCare: Spotlight
on Families
This
half-day, free workshop offers an in-depth look at the
eligibility rules for the MaineCare category for families.
Participants will focus on how to screen for potential
eligibility, how to help clients enroll, appeal and
how to trouble-shoot problems regarding the family category
of MaineCare. Additionally, participants will have the
opportunity to practice screenings, using eligibility
processes and criteria. Time: 9 am -12 pm
Health Coverage
Central
This all-day, $40 workshop offers an overview of health
care coverage, including several MaineCare categories,
private insurance, DHA programs and non-insurance options
and updates for Mainers, as well as how state and federal
health reform laws are affecting each of these areas.
Participants will focus on screening for potential eligibility,
helping clients enroll, filing appeals and trouble-shooting
these various options. Also, participants will gain
a deeper understanding of private insurance in Maine,
rights and responsibilities of insured and insurer and
a process for comparing policies. Participants have
an hour off for lunch on their own. Time: 9 am - 4 pm
