Country
Music Fundraiser is a Seamless Success!
Maine's own Don Campbell Band played
a benefit concert at the Messalonskee Performing Arts
Center in Oakland on November 9 in support of Consumers
for Affordable Health Care Coalition, Maine's
Largest Consumer Coalition. Thanks to the time and
energy contributed by the band, staff, and volunteers,
the event went off without a hitch! (See

contemporary country music artists with an enthusiastic
fan base across the country - and they were certainly
a hit here in Oakland, Maine!

Local radio personality Cindy Campbell from country
music station Q106.5, kicked off this exciting afternoon
of GREAT country music for a GREAT cause - affordable
health care for all!
The concert offered a roller-coaster ride of foot
stomping, roadhouse country fun mixed with heartfelt
ballads. The Don Campbell Band won the audience
over with their down-home sincerity and good clean
fun. This was a wonderful opportunity to experience
the great Maine tradition of communities gathering
together to support a worthy cause - while having
loads of fun!
