Small Business Edition: Dirigo Health Update
DirigoChoice Health Coverage Product
is Ready for Enrollment!

On October 4, 2004, small businesses and self-employed
people can begin to enroll in the new Dirigo Health
Plan, now called DirigoChoice, and benefits will take
effect January 1, 2005. For individuals without access
to job-based coverage, enrollment is scheduled to
begin on February 1, 2005 with benefits expected to
take effect beginning April 1, 2005. There is no limit
on enrollment of small businesses (2-50 employees),
but enrollment of self-employed people will be limited
to 2,000 people in the first year. Enrollment for
individuals will also be limited to 2,000 people in
the first year.
To enroll in DirigoChoice
coverage, people can either call Anthem’s
customer service at 1-800-541-4251 on October 4, 2004
or contact any broker or agent who sells Anthem insurance
products. NOTE: DirigoChoice is a product of the Dirigo
Health Agency and is not an Anthem insurance product,
although it is being administered through that company.
